Homemade Raspberry Lemonade
Homemade raspberry lemonade will take the classy factor of your next gathering up a notch... or five.
As the weather heats up and the backyard gatherings start to increase – quench your guests thirst with an impressive homemade beverage, made from fresh or frozen raspberries and juicy lemons.
Ingredients
1 cup water
¾ cup sugar
¾ cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
Juice of 3 lemons
Sparkling water to taste
Mint leaves (optional)
Method
Pour water and sugar into a medium sized pan and cook over medium heat. Stir continuously until dissolved.
Add raspberries and bring to the boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
Allow to cool.
Place raspberry sugar syrup in a blender and mix until smooth.
Pass the mixture through a fine sieve and into a jug.
Add lemon juice and stir to combine.
To serve
Pour 2 tablespoons of raspberry lemon syrup into a glass and top with sparkling water and ice cubes. Garnish with mint leaves for that extra wow factor.
It's easy, but your guests don't need to know that.
